After the Super success of Renault duster all the automobile companies have shifted their main focus towards compact SUV category and designing more and more compact SUV car models and set the new trend In Indian automobile market and there are many Compact SUVs are In pipeline we bring you the list of top ten upcoming SUVs worth to wait for.
10) Volkswagen Taigun: Announced ln last Auto Expo Volkswagen Taigun will be available for customers by june 2021. Taigun is compact SUV based MQB AO IN platform with more premium feel. This will be avalible in both Manual and automatic transmission. Pricing will be under 10lakh for Indian customers.
9) Skoda Vision IN: Skoda’s first Experiment with MQB AO IN platform and it will be called as “Vision In”. Tentative date of launch is April 2021. Skoda Vision In will face direct completion from Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and Hyundai Creta. Price range will be 10-12 lakh approximately.
8) MG ZS Petrol: After launching MG ZS EV in India in Feb 2020 with earning good returns Morris garage is planning to launch petrol version of MG ZS. New variant will be available for buyer by Feb 2021 and priced between 12 to 16 lakh.
7) Tata HBX : Positioned as Micro SUV and based on the ALFA Platform The Tata HBX is under development with Impact 2.0 design mechanism this car is all set to launch in December 2020 during the Christmas festival and priced starts from 5lacks this will not have automatic transmission. Customer can choose between petrol and diesel variant.
6) Toyota Brezza : Sounds unfamiliar right but Maruti and Toyota has joint ventured and come with their next car in compact SUV category and named as Toyota brezza under the vehicle sharing scheme they can use the same name. This will be more premium as compared to Maruti’s vitara brezza and planning to launch during Diwali 2020. Price range between 8 lakh to 11.5 Lakh and will compete with Hyundai venue and Tata nexon.
5) Renault Kiger: Renault is also hitting the best talents to launch compact SUV. Earlier makers going to named HBC but later named as Kiger. It has locally developed CMF-A+ platform. Kiger priced at 9 lakh and will be available for booking from September 2020 onwards.
4) Jeep 526: Priced around 10 lakh the Jeep 526 will be launch first in India and then in America. This compact SUV is inspired and based on Fiat Panda’s 4x4 and will have both petrol and diesel variant.
2) Kia Sonet : Kia was about to launch this car during Indian summer but due to COVID they have postpone the launch. Kia motors will launch this car anytime soon in August 2020. Starting price will be 8lakh for base model and it goes up to 11-12 lakh. Sonnet also we be having manual transmission and diesel option.
1) Tata Blackbird: Tata Motors is also developing the perfect compact SUVs. Its most talk about upcoming Tata model and will be positioned between Tata Harrier and Nexon. Price range between 9 to 14 lakh. This will be a 5 seater SUV and they are still deciding the name between blackbird and Tata H4.There has been rumored that tata will tie up with china’s cherry Automobile and will jointly launch this car but due to geo political conflict with china nothing has confirm yet.we have to wait till November 2021 for final announcement.
