Katrina Kaif starring Phone Bhoot is a burst of laughter; Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter set the vibe for the season
Bollywood was quite missing on a quirky yet diverse comedy that didn't just have a cool cast but whose humour was also the BOMB in it! Sarcasm, chuckles and an impressive blend of genres; didn't we miss that? Luckily, the wait is over!
Katrina, Siddhant and Ishaan unite to give the most belly-tickling ride in Phone Bhoot. BFFs and quirky ghostbusters, Major and Gullu, headed by the sweetest Bhootni Kat aka Ragini, go on their mission to offer salvation to the spirits. They go on a hilarious ride only to bump into an unforeseen villain. Jackie Shroff lights an epic sequence here!
Katrina Kaif is back with her vigour and powerful performance in Phone Bhoot. After playing quite stern roles in Bharat, Tiger Zinda Hai and others, she dives into a role her fans didn't see her in recent times. She plays the role of a Bhootni who locks the two charmers, Siddhant and Ishaan, in a hatke bhoot-bhagao business idea. We last saw her fun side of character-play in 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'; with Phone Bhoot she brings her old self back!
The trio play it very cool amid the unique sequence. Their timings, punches and overall performance are very well-balanced in the film. They go beyond the usual horror-comedy with their unique punchlines and add their own personal touches to the film. Sid and Ishaan put their performance with confidence and this pair will certainly be another one to be cherished after Jai-Veeru and others. The funny backdrop, Sheeba Chaddha's Bhootni frame and Jackie Shroff's hilarious villain entry suffice to give a burst of laughter.
The film is a well-carried project in terms of its VFX and prosthetics. The film has some unique compositions that compliments the unusually interesting theme. The scores and choreography perfectly match the narrative of the horror-comedy.
Fans are liking the way the trio has been brought on screen for the first time. Each one of them has their own magic to pour and the film is gaining huge appreciation for the total thrill that it brings to the audience.
Excel Entertainment's Phone Bhoot is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, written by Jasvinder Bath and Ravi Sankaran and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
